Kilakarai Murugan Temple is located in Vallal seethakathi Salai very close to Tourist home and opposite to Se Mu Me  (செ.மு.மீ) Marriage hall, kilakarai. This temple is very old temple and has the bang of devotees. The deity in the Temple has been placed by the harmonic leaders of kilakarai. The construction of this Temple looks very simple and it is well maintained by the service of the Kilakarai people. Whenever a ceremony happens, The house head will come along with their important relations and family members and worship Lord Murugan and continue with their ceremonies. The deity in the Temple is believed to very powerful and bless the people who worship it.

Panguni Uthiram is celebrated popularly in this Temple. On this occasion devotees will take Kavadi and Paal Kudam as a Thanks Giving to Lord Muruga for the blessings that they got in their life. 

Panguni Uthiram will be celebrated in the Tamil month of Panguni.
