There are two main roads in kilakarai, among that the road goes from mukku road to the beach is the biggest road in kilakarai and another main road is the one which diverts to bustand. Both of the roads are medium level roads. A bus and a auto can surpass on the road and the road has few potholes. Nearby kilakarai market, the road would be always blocked by people in kilakarai. 

In the rainy season the road will be flooded up with drains, that causes many flues to the people in kilakarai. The roads in the streets are of not good in quality when compared to the roads in other towns.
